Attending our Training?

Our Foundation and Intermediate courses run on selected weekends throughout the year.  You can expect a mix of presentations, practical assessments and a mock exam. We aim to make it fun and interesting.


You’ll be provided with start and end times once you have booked. Please ensure you arrive no later than 15 minutes before the advertised start time.

Refreshments /  Lunch

  • We will provide tea / coffee / soft drinks / biscuits throughout the day.
  • You will be provided with lunch (sandwiches). Let us know if you have special dietary requirements.

What to bring

Foundation Book

The book that helps you study for your licence

  • Please bring a pen and a notepad. also bring your foundation or intermediate books as well.
  • On the Sunday of the exam, you must bring proof of ID, as this is required for the exam. You cannot sit the exam without this. Acceptable ID is: A current passport, photo ID driving licence, or another legal document showing your name, photograph, printed name and signature. If you cannot provide these, you must bring two current legal documents with your name and signature (such as driving license, credit card or cheque guarantee card).
  • For the exam on Sunday, you may wish to bring a non-programmable calculator, as these are permitted in the examination room

Guest and Visitors

We would ask you not to bring any guests / visitors along during the course. The exception being for candidates aged 16 or under, where one parent/guardian must attend during the training sessions. No entry to the hall is permitted during the exam or the marking without prior agreement.

There is ample free parking at Waterside Farm Sports Centre, and you will find our building by walking to the back of the car park (away from the main road), and turning to the right.
